The Lifestyle Group at Hyatt is seeking a creative and passionate Senior Manager- Nightlife Experience, Culture, and Environment to join our dynamic team in the NYC Hub. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Brands team in shaping distinctive, design-forward hospitality experiences across Hyatt's Lifestyle brands, such as The Standard, Thompson Hotels, Dream, Andaz, and Bunkhouse Hotels.

The Role
The Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity Senior Manager supports the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment in translating localized cultural insights into immersive guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties. This role blends creative strategy with operational execution-curating venue identities, managing environmental elements like lighting and sound, and fostering partnerships with artists and tastemakers to deliver emotionally resonant, on-brand activations. It requires strong collaboration across departments and a hands-on approach to refining guest experience in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity
Support and execute the Global head of Culture, Experience & Environment's creative vision by translating hyper-localized cultural research and conceptual narratives into immersive, operationally sound guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties.
The role includes a strong focus on music programming, including band and DJ curation/ bookings, and requires a foundational knowledge of sound production and equipment. The position will also contribute to shaping, monitoring, and developing the venue's overall sound identity.
Collaborate with property teams (Nightlife, Marketing, Operations) to define and curate venue identities that reflect both the global brand ethos and the unique character of each location.
For key or in need assets - ability to manage day-to-day programming and environment curation, ensuring fluid integration of spatial design elements such as lighting, sound, scent, and energy flow that evoke emotional resonance and foster authentic social connections.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships within creative communities, leveraging relationships with artists, musicians, DJs, designers, and tastemakers to drive culturally relevant programming and innovative guest activations.
Implement and uphold experiential standards that align with the Global Head's overarching environmental and guest interaction frameworks, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Oversee the technical coordination of soundscapes, live performances, resident DJ curation, and dayparted playlists, working closely with FOH and technical teams to reinforce each property's identity.
Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to generate compelling content that captures and promotes programming highlights, amplifying brand presence locally and internationally.
Guide budgets related to experience programming, production, and event activations, ensuring financial discipline while maximizing impact and guest satisfaction.
Support new property openings and major activations, working alongside the Global Head's and property leadership to deliver high-caliber training and seamless execution of environmental vision.
Spend substantial time on-property to engage directly with teams, observe guest interactions, and refine experience delivery in real time.
Communication, Leadership & Team Engagement
Serve as a cultural ambassador and mentor, inspiring programming teams to deliver exceptional, on-brand guest experiences that reflect Lifestyle Properties' core values and creative vision.
Build and maintain strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure operational alignment and smooth delivery of guest experience initiatives.
Communicate clearly and effectively, presenting ideas and program outcomes to both the Global head of Culture, Experience & Environment and property leadership.
Demonstrate agility and problem-solving acumen in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities without sacrificing quality or guest experience.
Maintain a professional, respectful, and hospitable demeanor, fostering positive interactions with colleagues and guests alike.
Operational Support & Brand Integration
Partner with Operations teams to monitor and fine-tune environmental factors such as lighting, temperature, sound levels, and staff choreography, ensuring each venue's atmosphere consistently supports the desired emotional tone.
Contribute to the development and execution of a dynamic lifestyle programming calendar, including events, rituals, and activations that generate cultural buzz and build community engagement.
Assist in analyzing performance metrics and guest feedback, using insights to iterate and elevate programming strategies.
Support the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment and leadership in strategic planning, ensuring the experiential vision scales effectively across the global portfolio.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Passionate and knowledgeable about music, nightlife, and contemporary culture with a strong cultural sensibility
Established network within creative communities, including artists, musicians, DJs, and tastemakers
Deep understanding of environmental design elements (lighting, sound, scent, spatial flow) and their impact on guest experience
Skilled collaborator and communicator with marketing, operations, and creative teams
Budget and project management experience for event programming and venue production
Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining high standards
Proactive leadership style with experience mentoring teams
Highly professional, discreet, and culturally sensitive
The salary range for this position is $132,240-$146,160.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate
