Riverbend is professionally managed by Sterling Golf Management, recognized for elevating course conditions, member experience, and financial performance at top private clubs across Texas and Louisiana.

Position Overview:

The General Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader of Riverbend Country Club, responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience while ensuring sound financial and operational performance.

This position requires a PGA professional or experienced private club executive with strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills, capable of leading a seasoned team and engaging with a highly active membership and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Governance
• Serve as the executive representative to the Board of Directors and all committees
• Implement policies, strategic initiatives, and decisions in alignment with Board direction
• Collaborate closely with Sterling Golf Management on budgeting, capital planning, and staffing

Operations Management:

• Oversee all club departments: Golf Operations, Agronomy, Food & Beverage, Accounting, Membership, and Facilities
• Ensure operational excellence and consistency across all departments
• Lead department heads through effective communication, performance management, and staff development

Financial Performance:

• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
• Ensure profitability through disciplined cost control, productivity, and service standards
• Track performance metrics and provide regular reporting to the Board and Sterling Golf
• Membership & Member Relations:
• Serve as the face of the Club to members and guests
• Drive membership growth, retention, and engagement through creative programming and communication
• Lead the Membership Director and team in recruitment and onboarding initiatives

Golf & Member Programming:

• Promote and enhance the club's golf and social calendars
• Maintain the highest standards in course conditions, golf shop operations, and member service
• Support the Golf and Greens Committees in continued course and facility improvement

Qualifications:

• Class A PGA Member (preferred) or equivalent private club management experience
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in private club or golf management
• Strong financial acumen and operational management background
• Proven ability to build culture, motivate teams, and engage members
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and organizational skills

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)
