Overview

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for
overseeing all aspects of club operations-including the golf course, golf shop, restaurant,
and member services. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business acumen,
excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality and recreation.
The ideal candidate will foster a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and continuous
improvement while ensuring the club operates in alignment with board-approved policies
and member expectations.

Experience Required

• PGA membership preferredPrior experience as a General Manager at a golf course or private club strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance, food & beverage operations, and
  hospitality standards
  • Proficiency in club management software, POS systems, and productivity tools
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Essential Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership and maintain a positive, professional image
• Oversee daily operations across all departments: golf, food & beverage, maintenance,
and administration
• Deliver exceptional member service and respond to member needs with care and
efficiency
• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Drive revenue growth through programming, events, and member engagement
• Lead membership recruitment and retention efforts
• Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance team culture
• Attend committee meetings and collaborate with the Board on strategic planning
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain confidentiality of club, company, and employee information
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance service quality and leadership

Benefits

Starting base salary is between $60,000 to $70,000 based on experience + incentives
• Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus tied to net operating income
• Lesson Income: 100% of lesson revenue (based on individual performance)
