Cherry Hills Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional in Training (AIT) to join our golf professional team. This position is designed to provide individuals with exposure to all aspects of a high-performing golf operation while offering mentorship, structured learning opportunities, and a pathway toward a career as a future PGA professional.

Cherry Hills is one of the nation's most storied clubs, with a history that includes hosting 14 USGA and PGA championships, including three U.S. Opens. Our club features 27 holes of golf, and 18 hole championship couse and a 9 hole par 3 course. We have an active membership that annually plays over 27,000 rounds, and a golf operation recognized for excellence in player development, retail, and tournament programming.

The AIT role is a full-time position that rotates through all areas of the golf operation. Individuals will gain hands-on experience in tournament administration, merchandising, instruction, player development, outside operations, and member service. The position is intended to serve as an entry point into the golf industry for motivated individuals with a passion for the game and interest in developing a career as a PGA Professional.

Experience Required

• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and etiquette
• Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly motivated, with a professional demeanor and service-oriented mindset
• Strong playing ability and a desire to develop as a golfer and professional
• Prior experience in golf or hospitality is preferred, but not required

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in daily golf operations, including tee time management, outside services, and practice facility operations
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests by learning member names, individual preferences and anticipating their needs
• Support the execution of member tournaments and junior programs
• Participate in retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and special orders
• Assist with fittings, basic club repair, and equipment maintenance
• Engage in scheduled professional development and training sessions with the Golf Professional staff
