As the only club in the Frederick area, Holly Hills provides a welcoming and professional atmosphere for both members and staff. The golf operation prides itself on creating memorable experiences, providing premiere service, and fostering a deep appreciation for the game of golf.

The ideal candidate is one that aspires to become a Head Golf Professional within the next five years. Candidates should be passionate about the game of golf, dedicated to service excellence, and eager to develop leadership and management skills in all areas of golf operations while learning from the 2024 Kemper Sports Professional of the Year, Andrew Blockinger,PGA.

This position offers the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of private club golf management. Ex) Member services, instruction, merchandising, tournament operations, and staff development-within a supportive environment focused on professional growth.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or registered Associate (in good standing).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Enthusiastic teacher and player development advocate.
• Proficient with golf operations software (e.g., ForeTees, Golf Genius Shop/Tournament).
• High standard of professionalism, integrity, and member service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and hospitality to members and guests, ensuring every golf experience reflects the standards of Holly Hills.
• Assist in the daily golf operation including tee sheet management, tournament preparation, pace of play, and golf shop coordination.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless and efficient golf operation, maintaining open communication and teamwork between all staff. (Golf, Grounds, and Food & Beverage teams)
• Lead and support a variety of golf programs including member events, junior development, and the Womens Golf Association.
• Conduct individual and group instruction for players of all levels using modern teaching techniques and technology.
• Participate in golf shop merchandising, inventory management, and seasonal retail planning.
• Train, mentor, and manage outside service staff to ensure consistent service excellence.
• Contribute creative ideas to elevate member engagement and the overall golf experience.
• Actively pursue professional development and PGA education with a clear path toward a future Head Golf Professional role.
