The Law Library at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law has an opening for an Assistant Director, Public Services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops, directs, coordinates, supervises, and manages the operations, services, and personnel of the Law Library Public Services Department. Services and operations include reference, research, circulation, reserve collections, interlibrary loan, and stacks maintenance. Oversees and provides reference, research, and access services to Law School faculty, students and staff, members of the University community, attorneys, and the general public. Develops, coordinates, implements, and participates in Law Library instructional programs and teaching services, including teaching as part of the Legal Methods program and teaching for credit specialized and advanced research courses. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary Range: $100,100 - $106,000. Excellent benefits. No state income tax. Support for professional travel and activities.

Requirements
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Master’s degree in library and information science or relevant area from an ALA accredited school and a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school and a minimum of six (6) years of experience as a librarian in an academic law library. Must have experience using the Innovative Interfaces Integrated System, or a similar library system, in an academic law library and previous supervisory experience.
Preferred qualifications are a working knowledge of the circulation module of the Innovative Interfaces Integrated System, or a similar library system, and experience with interlibrary loan services.
